Principle of operation

The RK series includes vortex electric pumps, the name of which is due to the fact that on the periphery of their impeller there are a large number of radial blades that transfer the energy of the pumped fluid. The special profile of the blades ensures radial recirculation of the fluid entering the pump between the impeller blades and the double channel located on both sides of the impeller in the pump casing. Since each of the numerous blades is involved in the transfer of energy, the pressure of the liquid gradually increases in the process of its transition from the suction to the discharge pipe; this ensures, on the one hand, a uniform flow and the absence of pulsations, and on the other hand, high pressure and steepness of the operating curves. With a relatively simple design, the PK series pumps are distinguished by especially carefully performed mechanical processing, which makes it possible to avoid performance degradation.

Scope and installation

Pumps of this series are recommended for pumping clean water without the presence of abrasive particles and chemically non-aggressive liquids. Due to their reliability, ease of operation and cost-effectiveness, these pumps have found their application primarily in everyday life, in particular, for automatic water supply in conjunction with small tanks - automatic pressure maintenance units, for irrigating vegetable gardens and orchards, for compensating for insufficient pressure in the water supply network. . The pump must be installed indoors or protected from the weather.

Structural characteristics

• cast iron pump body, equipped with suction and discharge ports with gas UNI 338 pipe thread.
• The aluminum pump support with a brass (patented) insert reduces the load generated during start-up due to possible blocking of the impeller when the pump is not operated for a long period.

• electric motor: the pumps are directly connected to a PEDROLLO electric motor of appropriate power; motor asynchronous, high-performance, silent, closed type with external ventilation, constructive type "IM D3", suitable for continuous operation. Insulation class F (B up to 0.75 kW).
  Single-phase motors have a built-in thermal protection device (emergency switch).
  Three-phase motors must be equipped with an appropriate external emergency switch, connected in accordance with current regulations.
